Installation

CaaStle requires Docker to be installed on the Host. Also, the effective user permissions of the shell in which CaaStle is running needs to be such that docker commands can be invoked without sudo.

Docker installation on Ubuntu

You will find detailed Docker installation steps here.

Here are those steps summarized:

$ sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https ca-certificates curl software-properties-common

$ curl -fsSL https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu/gpg | sudo apt-key add -

$ sudo apt-key fingerprint 0EBFCD88

$ sudo add-apt-repository \
    "deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu \
    $(lsb_release -cs) \
    stable"

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install docker-ce
